Seed Update - Wednesday

First of all, there is not a shortage of supply of heirloom vegetable seed in Australia. The current unavailability and delays in sending out orders is due to a sudden and sustained increase in demand over the past 9 days.

Our seed stocks are now somewhat diminished, as evidenced by the number of items which are currently out of stock. We have more stock on the way to fill the gaps, but with the current situation we have to be patient, as we are waiting on our suppliers as well as freight and quarantine clearance.

More seeds arrived on Tuesday (March 24th) and we are updating stock availability as this stock is packaged and becomes ready for sale. We have more shipments of seeds arriving every 2-3 days and will continue to bring in stock as quickly as possible to ensure a stable supply for WA gardeners.

We are currently receiving a lot more orders than usual! We are working hard to send out all orders as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience at this time.

Please see the following list of stock which is due to arrive in March:

Beans
Beetroot
Broccoli
Broad Beans
Biofumigant Green Manure
Cabbage
Capsicum
Carrots
Celery
Chicory
Chard
Cornflowers
Cosmos
Cucumber
Green Manure Crops
Lettuce
Loofah
Lovage
Malabar Spinach
Mustard
Nasturtiums
Okra
Peas
Rocket
Snow Peas
Sunflowers
Tatsoi
Turnips
Zucchini
and too many more to list them all!

We have decided to publish this information to help alleviate the concerns about obtaining seed. We will send our regular email newsletter in a week or so and we should have more information by then to share with you all.

We have ordered plenty of Spring/Summer heirloom vegetables as well as more of the Autumn/Winter vegetables and we expect these to be available in April.

Kind regards,
