Land Cress 'Upland'
Dead end trap for White Cabbage Moths who can’t resist laying their eggs on the leaves. When the eggs hatch, the caterpillars eat the cress leaves and are killed straight away, long before they have a chance to munch on your brassica crops! Land Cress has a strong peppery flavour and will grow all year round.
We now grow this in our nursery in pots which are placed near any seedlings which the cabbage moth tends to fancy. Since trying this in Autumn 2017, we have had no problems with cabbage moths and rarely even see them fluttering about in the nursery.
